Start of a new season

Finally, the day we have been waiting for all year, the day after Thanksgiving, the day that listening to Christmas music becomes legal in our household, the day that officially marks the begginning of the Christmas season, Christmas Decorating Day! Right before breakfast us kids had a utensil fight in which the defending parties built forts, and the attacking parties gathered ammunition. Ammo consisted of plastic fork catapults, poisonous crayon darts, paper plate Frisbees, poker chip hand grenades, and much more. After the conquered party cleaned up the mess, we had breakfast, got dressed, and started one of our favorite Christmas activities.

 John and his beloved stocking.

Mom's personal choir

It is has become a tradition for John and I, to put up the tree and untangle the lights. Untangling the lights is John's favorite job. I think you can see why.

Chrissy's decorating job, a pink-covered piano.

And Mom's special angel thingie, covered in pink.

John and suzy, helping, but not helping, me string the lights.

Betsey's pride and joy, the mantle

And yet another Betsey decor design, the dining room chandelier

More of the same.

My wonderful lighting job.
